Therapy & CBT

There are many aims of therapy depending on your problems. Some are: to help you feel better, change thinking patterns, create new neuroplastic pathways, gain clarity, understand the causes of suffering/your problems, learn how to change habits, create better daily patterns to live the life you want.

Therapy can be short term for more simpler problems & long term for more deeper routed, childhood & complex mental health issues. Becoming free from our past can help us to live more fully in the present. Making change happen NOW in every day life.

CBT used with mindfulness can have many positive effects & create change right here, right now. CBT focuses on the way a person thinks (cognition), feels (emotions) & acts (behaviour) in order to gain awareness. It helps us to understand ourselves, others, gain awareness, control & overcome emotional & behavioural problems.

Living from abundance, developing good choices that nourishes us & being free to choose from your authentic self - leads us to thrive through life, no matter what your past was, and, it`s not dependant on life being perfect.

About Sharon

She is a CBT therapist holding a Masters degree in CBT & post graduate degree for clinical supervision. Working long term with childhood issues & mental health disorders & short term with lighter level problems, confidence, decisions, life situations etc.

Since 1998, I have worked with individuals, young people and groups in many different settings. I started working with couples in 2016. I use mindfulness & meditation as a vehicle to help us with therapy and making long lasting changes - bringing the two together in our daily life.

I have had a meditation practice since 1993. I am passionate about helping people overcome their problems, past experiences & becoming the best version of themselves - making choices inline with core goals. Connecting mind & body, letting go of the unwanted, releasing us to live fully in the now, to be fully present, to show up for yourself right now, to be then able to make good choices.

Trauma Biology is becoming much more recognised & is used within the therapy process to help us overcome past difficulties, stress & physical health. Understanding how it can affect the mind & body is important to be able to release the grip of the past - research shows us the success to combine the two within our work with clients.

Are you ready to commit to yourself, move forward to make change happen & live authentically?

Please use the form below to register & if you have any questions.

It takes more courage to face your problems than it does to ignore them. Together we work through all that blocks you, holds you back and then make the change you wish for happen, we are then overcome your challenges and obstacles. We will go through a process of awareness, learning, seeing more clearly and deeply - then connecting and being clear with the changes you wish to make. Afterwards, practice and consolidating the change is important, reflecting and staying in alignment with yourself, honouring your self and being clear with your most important intent - this keeps us connected with who we want to be, who we are, and what we want in our life moving forwards.

Trauma work: Opening up to free oneself from past experiences - liberation & the reality, helps us to see more clearly, change & make good choices.

You can contact me to discuss your needs, to help you can decide if this is the best place for you and your problems. From understanding comes new opportunities to learn and practice new skills, see from different angles, see new choices and the ability to create more of what we want in our lives.

People from all walks of life come to therapy for all sorts of reasons. When you become aware, do things differently, see different perspectives, you can create the change you want, create new horizons and change your life. We then often impact others around us, as change can be inspiring to others.
